VIKAS ADAM, Ensemble Member
Vikas joined the OETC Ensemble in 2005. Previous roles with OETC include The Kid in The Last One Nighter on the Death Trail, JD + Pirate in Extreme Acts and Thurio in Two Gentlemen of Verona. He recently performed in Touch and Go (Texas Unbound), Aisle 17B (Oklajoma Ink), That Slut! (KDT New Works), Clown Suicides (Project X), and Jill's War (ArtSpirit at The MAC). Vikas is also an award winning director, producer, writer, choreographer, and activist in sexual assault awareness issues. He has a BFA in Acting/Directing from Syracuse University and is Program Director for Junior Players.
TIFFANY BOOT-VILLAR, Ensemble Member
Tiffany began working with Our Endeavors in 1999 and is a Founding Ensemble Member. She was last seen onstage in OE's 2000 production of The Butterfly's Evil Spell and most recently unseen backstage for the 2004 production Dainty Shapes and Hairy Apes. Tiffany is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University.
JEREMY ESCOBAR, Ensemble Member
Jeremy began working with Our Endeavors as ASM for I, Patty Diphusa: International Sex Symbol and is a Founding Member of the OETC Ensemble. He stage managed nearly all OE shows from 2001 - 2004. Outside of the company, he is a freelance stage manager and theatre technician. Other stage management and tech credits include work with Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, Dallas Theater Center, Project X, Kitchen Dog Theater, Hellgrammite Productions, Classical Acting Company, and Big Thought.
JOHN FLORES, Ensemble Member
A longtime OETC collaborator, John has been featured in many of OE's spectacles, including Extreme Acts, Fortitude, The Ultra-Happy, Super-Sad, Mega-Variety Review, and My Head Was a Sledgehammer. As a playwright, many of his original works have been highlighted in OE's Cabaret Series and his adaptations have also flown under the OE banner, such as a re-imagined adaptation of Federico Garcia Lorca's The Butterfly's Evil Spell and Pedro Almodovar's I, Patty Diphusa: International Sex Symbol, which he co-adapted with director Mark Farr. With the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, John developed a lean, mean fighting version of Henry IV Parts 1 & 2 as well as this season's The Winter's Tale. Later this fall, the University of Dallas will be performing his adaptation of Love and Intrigue by Friedrich Schiller.
DAVID GOODWIN, Ensemble Member
David has been a contributing member of OETC since 1998, working as an actor (Caligula, Marie and Bruce, Fortitude), playwright (Extreme Acts, The Last One-Nighter on the Death Trail, Around the World with Blackbrows the Pirate) and puppeteer (Gorey Stories, Dainty Shapes and Hairy Apes). In addition to his work with OETC, David is an Artistic Associate with Kitchen Dog Theater and a teaching artist for Junior Players.
PATRICK JOHNSON, Ensemble Member
Patrick joined the OETC Ensemble in 2003. He designed costumes for Dainty Shapes and Hairy Apes in 2004, which was cited for Best Design by the DFW Theater Critics Forum, and was awarded the Leon Rabin Award for Outstanding Costume Design. In Dallas, Patrick designed costumes for Coriolanus, In the Belly of the Beast, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Buried Child for Kitchen Dog Theater. He also costumed the New York premiere of Dr. Tedrow's Last Breath and the Berkshire Fringe premiere of The Josephine Footnote, both for New York's Deep Ellum Ensemble. Patrick made his Dallas acting debut in OETC's Extreme Acts, and was seen as Mother Nurdiger in The Artificial Jungle. He most recently originated the role of Tommy "Pudge" Goodman in OETC's The Last One-Nighter on the Death Trail, and designed costumes for (The) Book of Matches, an OETC installation at the Dallas Museum of Art.
PATTI KIRKPATRICK, Executive Producer / Co-Founder / Ensemble / Board Member
In 1997 Patti co-founded Our Endeavors and has since served as Executive Producer for all of its productions. Her work as a producer has been recognized by the DFW Theater Critics Forum, Dallas Observer, D Magazine, and the Dallas Theatre League. As full-time administrator for OETC, she managed all marketing, development, educational, and board activities for the company. A strong advocate for arts in education, Patti specializes in teaching creative drama and has worked at several area schools and theaters (Moseley Elementary, Dallas Theater Center, The Academy of Fine Arts) since starting her teaching career in 1997. Patti has theatrical experience in a variety of capacities including performance, directing, stage managing, props design, set dressing and costume design/construction.
BRAD MCENTIRE, Ensemble Member
Brad joined the OETC Ensemble in 2005. He is native-born Texan and serves as Artistic Director of the North Texas based Audacity Productions. Holding a BFA in Theatre and Performance Arts from the College of Santa Fe, Brad is an experienced actor, director, producer, designer, improviser, solo performer, educator as well as a published cartoonist and produced playwright. Brad has taught theatre arts at Richland Community College, Collin County Community College, RL Turner High School, Yavneh Jewish Academy of Dallas, Plano Repertory Theatre, Plano Children's Theatre and the Dallas Theatre Center. His plays have been produced nationally. Most recently his original play For the Love of an Anesthesiologist world-premiered at Dallas' 6th Annual Festival of Independent Theatres. McEntire debuted his original one-man show The Lunatist (and Related Tales of Woe) last October at Chicago's 3rd Annual Single File Solo Performance Festival. He is currently an M.A. Theatre candidate in the Graduate program at TWU. McEntire is the creator of the solo improvisational format Dribble Funk, founding Managing Director of the recently defunct anarcho-theatrical performance group The Mild Dementia Continuous-Play Variety Hour, a performer with the long-form improvisational comedy troupe The French Club Dropouts and an active member of the DFW Playwrights' Alliance. He seems to travel quite a bit and enjoys a good cigar.
LAURIE MCNAIR, Ensemble Member
Laurie has worked with OETC since 1998 and is a Founding Member of the Ensemble. She most recently wrote and arranged songs for OETC's musical The Last One-Nighter on the Death Trail. Previous endeavors with the company include performing in Extreme Acts, Two Gentlemen of Verona, and Ultra-Happy, Super-Sad, Mega-Variety Revue. Laurie was last seen on Dallas stages in Kitchen Dog Theater's Hedwig and the Angry Inch. In addition to stage work, Laurie sings, shoots commercials and films, and writes. Her next project is the upcoming short Killing the Button.
FRANK MENDEZ, Ensemble Member
Frank joined the OETC Ensemble in 2004. The Last One-Nighter on the Death Trail marked his fifth show for Our Endeavors. An established actor, Frank is also an illustrator and composes original music, most recently for OETC's (The) Book of Matches and Dainty Shapes and Hairy Apes. As video artist he shot and edited a short film for OETC's Extreme Acts and directed Fantomas, another short film that pays homage to the old serials of the past and cheap Mexican horror films. Through his production company, Puro Corazon Films, he has produced videos for DISD, Junior Players, Big Thought and Creative Solutions. He is most proud of Filmworks Q., an after school video arts program at a local Oak Cliff middle school that has won five national video awards in three consecutive years and has given young people a chance to accept their awards in New York City.

LAINIE SIMONTON, Ensemble Member
Her work with OETC includes The Butterfly's Evil Spell (Sylvia Beetle), Fortitude (Gloria), I, Patty Diphusa (Assistant Director), Extreme Acts (Ensemble), The Artificial Jungle (Roxanne), The Last One-Nighter on the Death Trail (Trixie), and (The) Book of Matches (Ensemble). In addition, she designed the sets for OETC's children's touring show Around the World with Blackbrows the Pirate and continues to assist in upcoming educational programming. By day, Lainie directs and teaches theater arts at a local Dallas high school and is working toward her Masters in Education.
CHRISTIE VELA, Associate Director / Ensemble / Board Member
Christie last directed The Last One Nighter on the Death Trail, for which she also wrote lyrics and Book with David Goodwin. In 2003 she directed The Artificial Jungle, which was recognized in the Dallas Morning News' "Top 10 Productions of 2003". She has played numerous roles including Patty Diphusa, in I, Patty Diphusa, International Sex Symbol (Leon Rabin Best Actress Award), Mrs. Lovejoy in Fortitude, Naughty Dallas in Naughty Dallas, and Marie in Marie And Bruce (Leon Rabin Best Actress Award). Christie works with Kitchen Dog Theater a lot, and has worked with Teatro Dallas, Undermain Theater, and Cara Mia Theater Company. She has been the recipient of Dallas Observer's "Best of Dallas" best actress award for her performance in Erendira at Teatro Dallas, and was honored by D Magazine in 2003 as Dallas' Best Actress in their "Best of Big D" issue. She also co-authored with David Goodwin, Around the World with Blackbrows the Pirate, a children's play that is currently touring Dallas Schools. Christie has written and several short pieces for OETC including the short film Fantomas and Crime and Punishment which she also directed.
LULU WARD, Ensemble Member
Lulu first worked with OETC in the Spring of 2005 playing The Countess in their original musical, The Last One Nighter on the Death Trail. She joined the Ensemble in Summer 2005 and spent the Fall of 2005 in OETC's live art installation, (The) Book of Matches, at the Dallas Museum of Art. During her 15 years in Dallas Lulu has enjoyed working with, among others, Echo Theatre Company (Cloud 9), Ground Zero Theatre Company (10:10, The Abandoned Reservoir), Pegasus Theatre (Cross Stage Right, Die!, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder), Contemporary Theatre of Dallas (The Dining Room) and Risk Theatre Initiative (Orgasmo Adulto Escapes from the Zoo). Lulu was voted "Best Actress" in 2004 by the Dallas Observer, received a Dallas Theatre Critics Forum Award for her performance in The Dining Room and received Leon Rabin Award Nominations, for her roles in Cloud 9 and Cross Stage Right Die! She earned a B.A. in Music from Mississippi University for Women and an M.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Southern Mississippi. Lulu resides in the Land o' Gar with her husband Michael and ten furry children.
ANNA BROWNSTED, Ensemble Emeritus
A Founding Ensemble Member, Anna's collaborations with OETC as an actor, writer, and composer spanned from 1998 – 2003. Past roles with the company include Butterfly in The Butterfly's Evil Spell, Mereia/Ensemble in Caligula, and various originating roles in Extreme Acts and The Ultra-Happy, Super-Sad, Mega Variety Revue. Anna has worked with many local theater companies and was last seen on stage as Lady Percy in Shakespeare Festival of Dallas' Henry IV. She is also a solo artist and has created one woman shows that have been produced in Dallas (Little Triggers; Matron, Maiden, MainDish Tart), Austin (Spirit vs. Flesh) & New Mexico (Dragon Bait; The Faceless Suitor).
MARK FARR, Ensemble Emeritus
Mark was a Founding Ensemble Member of OETC, and continues to collaborate with the company as a playwright. Mark currently lives in New York City and is a contributing member of Deep Ellum Ensemble. Regional roles include Proteus (The Two Gentlemen of Verona), Vincentio (Measure for Measure), Edmund (King Lear), Tybalt (Romeo and Juliet), Sicinius (Coriolanus), Grumio (The Taming of the Shrew), Cherea (Caligula), Por Quinly (A Por Quinly Christmas), C.F. Earbrass (Gorey Stories), George (Possible Worlds, Dallas Observer Critics Award), and Sparky Litman (The Chinese Art of Placement, a one-man show), among others. Also a director and playwright, Mark has received critical recognition for his direction of Marie And Bruce (Dallas Observer "1999 Best of Dallas: Best Production"), and his short play The Soil In Which It Grows (Dallas Observer Critics Award). He has adapted for the stage essays by Pedro Almodovar (I, Patty Diphusa, International Sex Symbol), and comic books by Mike Mignola (Box Full of Evil), P. Revess (The House of Walls), and Gilberto Hernandez (And So It Was…). He has also written plays for children (Rancho Victoriana, Aesop's Fables: A Play for Tiny Tots, and The Hallams: America's First Family of Theater).
DAVID LOZANO, Ensemble Emeritus
David was a Founding Ensemble Member with OETC. He currently serves as Artistic Director of Cara Mia Theatre Company. His memorable performances with OETC include Extreme Acts (Ensemble), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Valentine), Gertrude Stein's What Happened (Pablo Picasso) and Garcia Lorca's The Butterfly's Evil Spell (Dona Proudbeetle & Flaming Firefly). David was trained at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, with Fred Curchack at the University of Texas at Dallas and with Jeff Farrell with the YogaStudio.
